Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data the operator of this website processes, why, and what you can require of us. It is written to meet the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who is responsible

The operator of this website is the controller for the personal data described below. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not required to; privacy enquiries are handled directly at [email protected].

What we collect

This website has no accounts, no login, no contact form and no comment section. There is nothing here for you to fill in, so we hold very little about you.

• Technical request data. Your IP address, user-agent string, the page requested, the referring page and a timestamp — generated automatically by our servers whenever any website is loaded.
• Usage measurements. Aggregated page views and interactions collected by our internal analytics system, including a session recording feature that captures on-page interaction with input fields masked.
• Referral attribution. A short identifier written to a cookie when you arrive, and passed on by a click-tracking service if you follow an outbound link, so a referral can be attributed to this website.
• Error diagnostics. When something breaks, technical details of the failure — including the request path and browser environment — are recorded so we can fix it.
• Correspondence. If you email us, your address and the content of your message.

We do not ask for or knowingly collect special category data, and we do not build marketing profiles or sell data to anyone.

Lawful bases

We rely on the following bases under Article 6 of the UK GDPR:

• Legitimate interests — for keeping the website available and secure, diagnosing errors, and attributing referrals so we can be paid for them. We have weighed those interests against your rights and consider the processing proportionate, since none of it is used to make decisions about you individually.
• Consent — for non-essential measurement cookies. You can withdraw it at any time; see the cookie notice for the controls.
• Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with the law.

Who else processes it

We use a small number of service providers, each acting on our instructions under a written agreement: hosting and content delivery, an analytics platform, an error monitoring service, and a click-tracking service for referral attribution.

Where a provider processes data outside the United Kingdom, that transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or by the International Data Transfer Agreement, together with the safeguards those instruments require. We do not disclose personal data to anyone else except where the law compels us to.

How long we keep it

• Server request logs — up to 30 days
• Aggregated usage measurements — up to 24 months
• Session recordings — up to 30 days
• Referral attribution cookies — up to 90 days from your visit
• Error diagnostics — up to 90 days
• Email correspondence — up to 24 months after the matter is closed

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you may ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it or erase it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests, and ask us to transmit it to another controller in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Email [email protected] to exercise any of these. We will respond within one month and will not charge you. Please note that because we hold no account records, we may be unable to connect purely technical data to you as an individual — in which case we will explain why rather than guess.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please raise it with us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Children

This website is a comparison page written for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly process the personal data of children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this notice

We update this notice when our processing changes. The date at the top of the page always reflects the current version; material changes will be summarised here.
